The city of Peoria has decided that they have the extra time and money to annex a huge area north of town, extending nearly the was up to Castle Hot Springs. Their plan does not include keeping the recently developed Boulders OHV riding area. Here is a letter from one of the OHVA guys that lives over that way and has done a lot of the work on the Boulders.

> Hey All,
> Attached is a letter from Jeff Gursh outlining a proposal by the City of Peoria to create a "preserve" in the desert North of Highway 74 which would include the Boulders OHV area, including all the trails. The problem is that the City of Peoria (COP) does not include OHV use in their preserve proposal and in fact is attempting to do the same thing that Scottsdale did with the Granite Mtn trail system at Pima and Dynamite.

> The COP is holding a series of meetings to gather public comments about this preserve and if possible please attend a meeting and make a comment. If you cannot attend a meeting there is an email address included in Jeff's summary where you can send electronic comments. The key here is to comment! They cannot read your mind, whether you are in the meeting audience or reading this email, so unless you comment you are doing nothing to help.
> To help you formulate your own thoughts I've attached a copy of Jeff's comments (5.24.12 PEORIA MTG LETTER) as well. Feel free to copy/paste as needed to make your point then email to the address provided.

> Also attached is a partial map of the proposed preserve which shows the OHV area to be included.

> Please, read Jeff's summary and then make your comments in a clear, concise, and respectful manner. Also, pass this on to other club members and anybody you know who is an OHV enthusiast or businessman. We need to bury COP in comments.

Subject: Comments Needed - Peoria Preserve proposal for MM's - No OHV

Thank you,
