So more than a year ago I wanted to get a medical bag/ dry bag. I looked around and found many bags and containers but I over bought and went with what I thougth I wanted which was the Pelican case 1500. My short review is that it is overbuilt and will last me the rest of my life, if it is used all the time for a medical kit remains to be seen. I cant find the reciept but in December of 2007 I paid $140 +/- for the case and padded photograph section. the padded section is VERY padded and takes up alot of space inside the box. if you are looking for just a waterproof case DO NOT BUY the padding. you loose about 10-20% of the room inside the case. the lid is predrilled for optional lid pockets which I did not get, it came standard with kind of an egg crate type of foam that is very good.
I would definetly buy this case again but realize that if you just want a medical bag you could get one for $60 +/- from army surplus.
I included these photos because I wish some one would have detailed photos before I bought mine. hope it helps
Thanks Squiggy

So how long did you leave the coke in the sun before the lid deformed??

I have a bunch of those sized cases at work. They are really nice at keeping water out (or in for that matter)

Here is the one I just got:
Pelican 1500EMS with EMS Organizer/Dividers - Orange from Pelican-Case.com

I think its the same thing with the pockets you talked about. I have the EMT case for mine that I bought from SOS: SOS Survival Products [ products - Trauma & EMT Kits ] _________________________________

I got #3516EMT which is overkill in some areas and completely missing other products. Highly recommend it.

I have been thinking about getting the Pelican case for its ruggedness and waterproofedness :p

The standard EMT bag WILL get dirty and WILL get wet so the case is something I will be doing.

just ordered one, $150 delivered from OpticsPlanet.com

good review :)

Those pelican cases are nice, tough, and strong. Here is mine which is the 1550case. Don't mind the subtank gauge, transfer pump, and switch on top of it.

I use a 1550 as a general photography gear case. And yes they now specifically sell EMT versions of a few of their cases. To me it looks like the divider padding is thinner and it comes with a lid organizer.

I also have a couple of general use ones that I use for farm stuff I don't want to get wet. One serves as the chainsaw case.

Price wise I've found B&H Photo Video hard to beat for Pelican cases. A 1500 EMS is $143 and with photo dividers it is $112.
