I'm looking at picking up an LX 470 out of Texas. Anyone know of any issues I might run into with emissions and getting it registered in Maryland?

I've looked around and didn't find anything that might be a problem. Since I'm new to Maryland I'm not up-to-date on their laws.

The rig doesn't have any exhaust modifications. But I am probably going to look into an exhaust upgrade down the road, headers and a new cat back system.

But first I gotta make sure I get it legal to drive.

As long as it still has the cat and functioning EGR circuit it will pass the MD VIEP test. ( You have to take it every 2 years) There are some more specifics but a stock vehicle with no check engine lights should pass with little problem

Yeah, Maryland is one of the few states that has adopted CA Emissions. Texas is not one of them.
