Look at the picture where im pointing, thats where the seat heater pad plugs into and goes from there back up into the seat bottom, unless im way off track here. I will take a picture at lunch time of how it looks on the driver side.

Correct, so it would appear the seat side of things is intact (again, unless they cut the wires, removed the pad, and left the plug). I would be looking on the truck side for the male plug that goes into that socket.

I looked for the male plug on the truck side, nothing. There is only one set of wires coming from the truck side to the bottom of the seat this set of wires has 3 heads on it, grey, white, and yellow, for the motors. I didnt see any other wires under there. Only thing I saw was the Nav Unit, unless there is a plug hidden under there. My thinking was the one plug i have (with the three heads) somehow sent power to that female plug(thats exposed), and from there I was just missing the pad with the male end, which would plug up go under the seat cover. Maybe someone has pictures or can un bolt their seat and look, it wouldnt take that long.

Well, I stand corrected. Last time I was under there I swear the seat heater had it's own harness from the floor. It's just one plug that tee's out to the motors and heater. To answer your earlier question, yes, there are good aftermarket pads, you could probably even adapt one to plug into the OEM harness, the male plug is available from Toyota. I'd search the 80 section for suggestions, they don't come with seat heaters and I know several folks have added them, user wildyoats being one I know for sure.

Right on. I will do that. Im not concerned with finding a pad or making something work but i didnt have power to that plug the other morning when i used my tester. I was in a hurry and tested it fast so i will try again. Im gonna try to find a pad off a parts rig. Thanks for looking, you've been helpful.

I have the same problem with my seat heater stopped working last year. I pulled my seat apart last weekend and yes my heating elements are burned out :(

Thier should be 4 pins in that plug and if you are getting the switch to light up I'm 90% sure your fuse (under the passager dash) is good to go. Mine lights up and if i pull the fuse the light goes out, so you should be good there. When I checked mine with a multimeter the top left pin was the "HI" seater heater and the bottom Left was the "LO" heater setting. the two pins on the right should be grounds I think. Now if that still not getting any juice there take it a step back and check the main plug coming from the floor board. But if you do not have the "Female" plug at all, then yes you do not have a seat heater element.

Where do you find the plug that fits into the female plug you are pointing at in the photo. I had a new stereo installed and replaced leather awhile back. I think the stereo guys forgot to plug it in but I will be danged if I can find a male end to plug into that part you are pointing at ? Any help would be Awesome !!
