Ran some wires and the grommet popped off. I have big hands and have been trying to reseat it longer than I care to admit. Didn't see a fix with a search, just not to let it happen, LOL. Ideas? It looks like the white plastic insert should spring free if I could move some clips but it seems pretty solid at the same time.

I guess my computer jacked up this morn. There were 3 posts. Anyway.

This looks similar to the boot for the door wiring. See if you can release the plastic piece, I think if you can release it and pull it out, you will be able to pop the boot on the plastic piece, and snap the whole thing back in to the firewall.

Reviving an old thread... @Dparo did this work for you? I have a passenger floor wet carpet and the usual suspects (sunroof, windshield) weren’t the issue. Looks like my boot has popped loose and poured water near that area of the firewall is getting inside.

thanks!
