Hey Cary, I picked up a '93-'97 Land Cruiser hood protector from Toyota (on sale) assuming it would fit my '97 LX 450. Are they the same? The instruction sheet mentions the following:

LX 450 part #00500-60964 (dio/pio)
Land Cruiser part #00500-60950 (pio)
part #00500-60951 (dio)

Also, what is pio and dio?

Thanks for your expertise.

Dan, meet Cruiser Dan. He is the parts guy and probably knows the answer off the top of his head. I am limited to oil, stereos, bikes, guns, and insulting physicists. :D :D

Dan, FWIW, I put a similar part cited for a '93-97 LC on my '96 LX...fit's fine, although not a Toyota part. I, too, defer to the greater wisdom of Cdan.

The hood is the same, go for it. ;)

Now I think that one should always use the cheapest Quaker State you can buy...... :flipoff2:

If you change it every 3000-4000, there is no problem with running the cheapest Quaker State.

Dang it Cary, :mad:

I was trying to pick a roach oil to make a funny and you go and ruin it for me :flipoff2:

Dan,

The bug reflector would be the same EXCEPT the engraved Lexus logo for the LX. Buy what you want.

Frank.

My apologies to both of ya! I meant C-Dan, but it was early and Dan is a tough one for me to remember anyway. Cary, by the way, thanks for the advice on the Eclipse 2 ways. I'm very happy with them. My neighbors, not so much...

Dan

What's PIO or DIO?

PIO= Port Installed Option

DIO= Dealer Installed Option

Cary, I need a new stero for my XT500. What oil should I use make the bullet from my CETME rise when I shoot it? :D

I know this is a old thread. Hoping to help the community so you don't fall into the same mistake I made. I have a 1997 Toyota Land Cruiser (USA Model).

I purchased a bug/hood deflector to replace my old one on the car with part #00500-60951. Unfortunately part #00500-60951 does not fit a 97 Land Cruiser.
