I bought a 1983 minitruck and was wondering about parts overlap with a 1979 FJ40? Would seat belts overlap?

I have already pulled Aisin hubs, PS (just need to buy the bracket now), slotted white painted mags and BFG AT tires.

So far, the obvious parts to sell on this truck are: front axle, rear axle, five speed tranny, 22R for core(no worky), transfer case, canopy, body parts, bench seat, cab etc?

is there an adaptor made to use the 5 speed in a landcruiser?

thanks

Dude, you are waaayyy addicted!! :)

Hey, is the 83 a long box? Maybe my uncle could use the parts.

I think, those trannys are of a way different setup. It should have a G series trans. Even if it would bolt up, the LC tranny is way stronger.

Do you need a t-case and tranny for that FJ40? I have the 3 speed and case.

The 83 trucks came with the L52 tranny. It's one of the weaker trannys used in the pickups. No way would it hold up in a Cruiser.

Let me know if you decide to sell the tranny.

Tranny

bob- You are right. it is a bit light for the cruiser.

I will sell it and everything else on this truck. I need to move it fast.

I don't price my stuff way high. We are remodeling the house and I am doing a cleanup of my 1979 FJ40 at the same time.

thanks

Aaron
