Parts, anyone?

I have an opportunity to purchase a wrecked '93 LC. I need some parts from it. I am wondering what to offer for it. It occured to me that some of you 80 owners might need parts, or know what the parts are worth. Help a guy out here, post up what parts you might be interested in and what you might be willing to pay. Also, I'd be happy to know what you guys think various parts are worth, on any year 80. Deals, not 'top dollar', and not 'steals'.

This particular 80 has under 140K, power leather seats that show appropriate wear, and factory lockers. It's charcoal grey metallic with a grey interior. It does NOT have a hood, right fender, right side door shells, front bumper, lights, grill, radiator, condenser, fan, or fan shroud, although I'd still like your opinions on prices for those parts as it's just possible I might rebuild the truck. It has pretty bad frame damage, which is why I'm considering using it for parts.

I'm asking for prices on all years' parts in case I come across more of these, as I am in a position to do.

When and if the parts are available I will post up in the appropriate forum. I will not (nor should you) consider any prices I get here as offers, although if you're desperate for something feel free to PM me for priority- don't expect a kickass deal on something that many people want though.

I pray the mods will not move this post, as I'm looking for input specifically from all 80 owners, not just the ones looking for parts at the moment. The info might make a decent public reference as well.

I recenly helped David with a part out,

if you can get it for around 2K or less you can make your money back and then some profit for you time in a few months, I would not pay over 3k for a damaged parts truck already pissing parts, especially with front end damage as that is where a lot of the value resides. at 3K you could still eventually make most of your money back but not much for your time witch has value.

I'm coming to the same conclusion on what to offer. Looking at posts in the For Sale section, parting out a vehicle is a lot of work, what with taking requests, replying, setting prices, pulling parts, shipping, etc. The front end parts are gold (if I had them), the lockers are gold (and really hard to ship), the rest is hit-and-miss. I appreciate the input so far.

I will post in the for sale section if I have something to sell. I'm trying to guage the interest in used parts, not sell them ATM.

I am in need of the HVAC (heat and A/C) controller from the dash. I also am interested in the stock am/fm/cd radio if it all works as well. I could also use the rear door electric door lock (or any electric lock if they are all the same).

At the moment I'm only guaging interest in used parts. I don't have the 'Cruiser yet, I may not get it at all. If and when I do, I will put the parts up for sale on the board in the For Sale section. What I was looking for with my post was what people were willing to pay for those parts so I would have an idea how much to offer for the truck. So far I have lots of requests (mostly for the lockers) and not one person has given me a clue what they are willing to pay, so I will have to offer a fairly low price today and hope for the best. Keep an eye on the For Sale section.

I'd be interested in the outers from the front axle (everything outboard of the knuckles).. would pay around $100 + shipping. (I'm going to assume the axle was bent)

if it's a FF rear, I'd be interested in the rear, minus the third.

I'd be interested in the HF2AV transfer case, but since I only need it for certain parts I'd say $250 plus shipping for it. I know, its low, but it doesn't hurt to try.
