We are parting out a '92 Toyota truck if anyone needs any parts or knows anyone who might. Send me a PM if you are interested in anything.

I've been looking for a rear axle from an IFS Toyota mini-truck. I assume this is coming off of a Tacoma? Do you know gearing and about how much you want for the rear axle?

Come to think of it, that might have the power steering pump that I need. I guess I'd need to look at it or you could get pics?

Sure, I can get you some pics tonight. I'll have to ask my boyfriend the other questions (it's his truck). I'll get you those answers tonight.

Sorry I didn't get those pics up last night. I got home too late and it was already dark out. I'll get them for you tonight.

92' is pre-Tacoma. Not sure that there is much difference between the Tacoma and pre-Tacoma axles. They use the same size ring gear/diff. Tacoma axles might be slightly wider. If the truck has a manual transmission then the axle gear will most likely be a 4.10. I am interested to know what engine it has? If its the 3.0L then I might be interested in it. Does it have an automatic transmission?

I'll ask the BF about the engine. I want to think that it is a 3.0L, but not completely sure. It had a manual transmission, but that has been sold already along with the transfer case.

Stay outta this thread.... I was here first and I get dibs on all the parts, you can have whats left. LOL.
Just kidding. I still need an IFS rear axle to replace the one my friend mistook for junk and had crushed.

Did ya see the latest '85 4runner I got, Kurt? It's the best I've found yet, 99k miles, full SR5 with sunroof.

So, that means I'll be selling my grey one, it was running fine up until last winter when it blew the head gasket. Bummer.

Out of curiosity (and a VERY strong desire to have a Toyota 4x4 of my own), how much do you think you'll be selling the gray one for? I'm sure I can't afford it, but it looks really nice!

The problem with the grey one is it has a blown head gasket. It's a good vehicle but it does have high mileage so, as it sits I can't say that I could ask very much for it. Over at yota-tech, I've thrown out $2k as a potential price and nobody said I was nuts but no one jumped up and said that they'd take it either.
But here's my plan~ I'm going to offer it up to people in the area for $1500 WITHOUT the wheels and tires you see in the pic. I'm going to put stock steel chrome wheels back on with some "other" tires. Not sure which tires, I guess I'll let the buyer choose out of the variety that I have, some are better than others.
I need to get new pics without the tires\wheels and with a new ding\dent in the drivers rear, when my roommate clipped the 4runner with the tailgate of his pickup.

Ok, asked the BF and I have answers to the engine question. It is the 3.0L v6 engine. As I said, we have sold the tranny, but could probably put in another manual if you'd like.

Do you have another V6 tranny? I have a shed full of 4 cylinder trannys. Pretty sure I would need a $400 bell housing from Marlin Crawler to mount up one of my 4 cylinder trannies. Shoot me a price on the 3.0L engine along with some details about it.

JP, I am interested in your grey 85' 4Runner. Lets talk.

Ok, Lance says that he could probably get you a v6 tranny, but that he doesn't really want to put one in. I messed up on that detail. I'll PM you with Lance's phone # if you want to talk to him about what he wants for it.

Here is one pic from the side of the truck we are parting out. I will upload more pics when I get off of work or if I can get more to work in the meantime.

Dingman, here are a couple pics of the FZJ 80 axle I mentioned in my PM.

This is Lance,
Yep, got the whole front axle and the locker and shafts out of the rear. The rear locker will hopfully be installed in the front of the 40 you see. Hopefully trading to Ding as part of a deal on the runner for Erin.
The V6 is making a little noise in the top end-i think. Ran, little noisy. Would start and run right now with a flywheel. Sold that to fund the trip to Flat-nasty this fall. If you need anything feel free to ask. Only thing not there are the trans and t-case. Guy in town wants the body(no money yet).

Nice. Do they have the electric lockers?
I told you to stay away. :grinpimp: I won't have you weaseling in on my deal-making here. I know how you are. Why do you think your threads get deleted here?
(kidding again, I know you are as friendly as a little puppy dog).

Erin, the front axle is an interesting lure. Let me check and read up on them a bit tonight and I'll let you know tomorrow how interested I am.
