I'm trying to figure out what the little check valve looking thing is that screws into the top front of the air intake chamber. It's the thing right beside where the No. 1 PCV hose clamps to the top of the air intake chamber, and has a small hose that attaches into it. I broke the plastic nipple off of it by an improperly placed elbow.

Thanks,

from the vac line sticker under the hood It looks like that may be the "gas Filter" for the fuel pressure regulator, the line heads in the right direction to go the the VSV for the pressure regulator (under intake)

I cannot find anything in the FSM aboot the filter itself.

* FUEL PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM
THE FUEL PRESSURE UP SYSTEM CAUSES THE VSV (FUEL PRESSURE CONTROL) TO COME ON FOR HIGH TEMP. STARTS AND
IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTING IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE FUEL PRESSURE, IMPROVE STARTABILITY AT HIGH
TEMPERATURES AND PROVIDE STABLE IDLING. THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE EVALUATES THE SIGNALS FROM EACH
SENSOR (INPUT SIGNALS FROM (1), (2), (5), (11)), OUTPUTS CURRENT TO TERMINAL FPU AND CONTROLS THE VSV.

Thanks RT. I looked all through the FSM and couldn't find anything on it either. Sounds like a call to C'Dan.
