how do you remove the parking brake cable from the backing plate to remove also does anyone know where i can go to get the cable lenghten about 12 inches

I think there was something on ordering longer parking brake cables in cruiserfaq. I cannt recall for sure but I think all do is disconnect the cable from the brakepad assembly and it will slide out of backing plate sorry its been awhile since I did it

i need the style that fits a 76-79 but it need to be about a foot longer thanks
