after two years of duck tape, i finally got the softtop repaired. two years ago, at moab, the canvas channel that holds the rope over the right door rotted off, and i duck taped it to hold it together. finally got sick of not having a functioning softtop and racked up the credit card a bit more, at the upholstery shop. they didn't do canvas and rope, but instead had some plastic stuff...looks great, but didn't check it out. got the top off, i'm cruising for a while without it. ;)

also figured that after two years, it was time to clean it...got to love westley's.

Ige, good call on replacing it with the plastic bolt rope. I'll bet it was the old rope that wicked and held moisture that caused it to rot out.
The top looks good...cleaning it looks like a lot of work, too:)

yeah, softtop cleaning is no fun - took me three entire evenings

and the windows could still use some more polishing ;)
