For some reason the chrome was starting to drive me nuts. Arghhh...

Nice. Did you delete the rear chrome?

So you painted it body color? Did you separate the grille or just shoot everything at once? I thought about doing this but it looks like the grill is at least a 2 piece design (chrome outside and matte grey inner inserts).

No. I’m getting ready for a rear bumper with double swing outs so I am thinking it will mostly be covered. I may de-badge it however.

I just shot it all at once. It’s not body color. It’s a darker charcoal gray. I was trying to match the headlight’s black chrome look. My rig is Galactic Gray.

Anything in daylight? artificial light prob does the color no justice. how does it look from 10 feet.. just post a bunch, you started a thread for a reason right haha..

What made you go with auto paint? Why not something that can take more abuse like vinyl superwrap spray or plastidip/hyperdip.

I never really liked the plastidip type products. I was trying to get a black chrome look. It turned out ok. I hope it holds up. If not I can try something else.
