I know it is a personal preference kind of thing. But i am going to paint up my set of sliders soon. I have some good self etching primer. But i have not picked up any black paint yet. Any suggestions on what to use? Any particular brands or finishes that you suggest?

yep Krylon satin black matches close to black powder coat too.

The bed liner would be a lot more work to touch up if u do scrape or gouge your sliders, I personally went etching primer and flat black paint, but do believe it to be a touch too dull to match the fj trail teams black rims I'm runnin!

Something easy to touch up when you ding them. Either matte or satin would be my choice.

I don't know. My buddies was pretty easy to touch up and it took a lot to scratch them. I did flat black on mine. What I really liked about using the bed liner was that it gave a grip to the rock sliders if you wanted to step on them.

I sprayed all armor originally with SEM RUST SHIELD BLACK. It makes for a nice hard finish when sprayed with a fast dry urethane grade reducer. Since then I touch up with jingle cans of satin black.

I had mine bedlined (Line-X) so the wife and kids have some grip when climbing in and out. The 4x4 shop that sprayed them offered free touch-ups should they need it.

This is the best pic I have on my phone and I'm not near the cruiser at the moment.

I have been using Sherwin Williams kettle black, satin, for years.. It's a step up from Krylon, and it's nearly a perfect match to most powder coated finished bumpers and sliders..

:crybaby:Still waiting for my OPOR Sliders, but I bought satin for mine. I plan on sealing it up with spray primer, then a industrial sealer(black) then top off with spray satin black. :poof:
