That's a pretty good reference on colors/codes/years hope it helps!
I agree 100%. My Jan 1973 FJ40 is "Horizontal Blue" T808. I think "Horizontal" should have been "Horizon" but picked up the "al" in the translation from Japanese to English. That color chart is far from accurate. It is splattered with multiple, multiple inaccuracies. It floats around only because it is seen as being easily legible & convenient. But fact is, that specific chart does more harm than good.

My only comment on that is that Horizon Blue could be a uniquely different hue of paint and paint number than Horizontal Blue (T808). Where, Horizon Blue (a mid-1960's color) is Toyota T1208, which is PPG #99157. But that may be simply mix-ups & errors over time.I agree 100%. My Jan 1973 FJ40 is "Horizontal Blue" T808. I'll agree with you. I assure you I will.@Skydog
We've been down this road before.
Paint chip charts that have been posted on 'Mud show horizontal blue as T808 and T1208. Maybe there's a chip for horizon blue, but I have not seen it.
Most of this is semantics anyway, since it's unlikely paint chip charts that are approaching 50 years of age look like they did when new.
In any event, horizontal blue is/was the official Toyota color for late 60's/ early 70's, and it's merely speculation that the name was misspelled.
Looks like Capri !!Here’s my 73, perfect paint under the dash pad still. I’ve been under the assumption it was Capri Blue, because I’ve never trusted those charts.
