Yes, we drove all the way to the jetty. I was really surprised by how much the driving conditions changed over the course of three days. We camped between marker 25 and 30. Driving in on Wednesday it was pretty smooth and packed until mile 15 or so. Then it alternated between deep and soft sand to heavy shell beach all the way to the end. Driving back on Friday, it was really rough, packed sand from 20 to the entrance.
