Selling a header for over the doors of a 77 FJ40 it is in excellent condition. No rust, all threaded holes are in good shape, as is the threaded plate that the striker plate attaches to. Hard to get good detailed pictures of something this shape. Price $110 plus shipping. Best to email me shmukter@pa.metrocast.net

I dont have this part on my 77. Does this close the gap at the top? Preventing leaks?

Yes this piece is the "header" over the opening for the ambulance doors. It attaches to the hardtop sides using triangular brackets that attach to the sides and underside of the header with screws. It also is the mounting place for the stop piece that the upper latch of the ambulance door clicks into. I have never seen a truck with amby doors and the top in place without this header in place.
