OK, first things first. I’ve got a 97 Land Cruiser 220,000 miles with a aftermarket (magnaflow) high flow cat. Cat is probably 2 yrs old. Got a CEL code P0171 first. Cleared it (Ultragauge) but it came right back. When I checked the codes again, in addition to the P0171, it was throwing the P0130 & P0133.

I’ve read A LOT of posts so I know the things to check, cracked air hose, vacuum leak, clean the MAF etc. Here’s my question to the experts - Do these codes together point to an obvious O2 problem or can the P0171 contribute to the other two.

Finally, and I suspect this might be the case, I’m using @NLXTACY’s York OBA kit (which I love) and I tapped the air filter housing for the suction side of the York. Thing is that after the air compressor cycles off the air in the system on this side of the check valve rushes backward back into the air filter. As everyone knows the York has an oil blow by issue and I wonder if the MAF sensor is coated with oil.

Anyway, before I started testing and cleaning stuff I thought I’d run it by the Mud experts.

Thanks.

It could be likely. Just unscrew the MAF sensor and take a look.

FWIW anytime I get those code combinations it can always be traced to a vacuum issue.

If that turns out to be the case, would a check valve on the suction hose alleviate this problem? Or would keeping that part of the system pressurized be detrimental?

As always thanks Joey.
