Did a quick day trip thru the Ozark National Forrest with some friends from CentralOverland.com. Had a great time, saw some beautiful scenery and met some great people. It was a little hot and that's why there's not really any action shots. I think everyone, including me, wanted to stay in the AC!! This would have been an awesome water crossing trip but the drought has dried up almost all our streams.

I know I haven't done a build thread on my rig yet and I have every intention to but I just keep thinking one more mod and then I'll start one. I'm starting to realize that this thing will never be done so I just need to go ahead and post what I got.

Sorry there's not more but I was having such a good time I forgot to snap a lot of pics.

I did get to ride with Tim and his LC sitting on 40's. He gave me a lot of great ideas and some good advice so thanks again Tim.

Enjoy.

Trails were really overgrown, lots of pinstripes.

Rig did really well. She got a little warm one time (213 Deg) but with the heat (105), the dust, and the climb it was expected. Once we leveled out she went back to to normal temps.

Boyd cemetery. It dates back to the civil war.

This is supposed to be a swimming hole complete with a rope swing.

This was a landslide took out the the whole side of a mountain and exposed a bluff.

Campsite right next to a stream (now a pond). Beautiful spot, made me wish I could've stayed.

Aftermath. Dirty, dented a rear bumper corner and many pinstripes. Time to wax and buff.

Stopped at a overlook north of Dover. Beautiful spot especially at sunset.

That was a fun trip! Your rig looks good with those wide Toyos on there.

I think I have a few pics on my camera from yesterday. I'll dig around and see.

Nice trip. Have to add to the list of locales.

Tim,
How'd the trailer do?

Yeah, that area is great to explore. Here is the route for that trip that one of the guys put together:

Trailer did good. Couldn't tell it was back there for the most part.
Are you still going to the cruiser event at superlift in October? I think I might check it out this year.

Looks like fun.:) What size are your Toyos? They look like 37's.:)

It's funny you ask, they are 37.7" but I feel like I'm being dishonest by calling them 38's.;p. So I guess 38's.

So Tim, I had a bet with Dave that you were going to use your leaking power steering line as an excuse to put in a hydra steer system? True? Lol.

In all seriousness, we need to plan a trip this fall where we end up camping in that spot on top of the mountain where we ate lunch. I thought that was an awesome camp site.

Really look forward to seeing pics with that new rear bumper on.

I was out there last year in october. Had a blast

Great pics, seems like very little water this year. MIssissippi river basin is also very low. Mike

Yes. That's my target completion date. Be there in the FJC if the LX isn't done, but hoping that's not the case.

Checking out link now.
