But I hate it when I **** up.

And now onto the mess in the rear of the cab. I decided to cut out the entire rear cab section of the donor and then cut off of that as I see fit.

With that removed from the donor vehicle, I realized it would be easier to see where to cut off mine, while having the replacement piece next to me.

I then cut out the rotted piece off my truck.
And I simply have to just massage the new piece into place by strategically trimming it to fit.

Lots left to do, lots...

I knew someone would see those! It was a test! Them cans get taken out when I work, and put back in at end of day.
Your concern is duly noted and appreciated.

hi , im looking for more info on fitting turbo to the 2h. Can you offer links to threads ?. Somehow i have this thread on my watched list but ts prety big thread and havent come across any turbo install data yet. will keep looking.cheers

yes, actually ive already asked you the questions back in 2018 and thankyou for the list you compiled...
Somehow since then the hj sat for years and i just pulled the bonnet open this morning, thanks again...
Let me know if you need anything, I can dig up the info.

I employeed the help of my buddy for the fitting of a more intricate piece. While he did that, I replaced the pass side inner frame rail channel. Was avoiding doing that for the longest time, given its such a pain in the ass!
Anyway, gotta weld this in and on to the rest.

Made more progress.

And I feel stupid for not having used my head and cutting that piece whole...psshhhttt.
I have to make a small infill piece but all in all it's coming together.

I then started removing the pass side front fender to tackle the mess at the front of the rocker panel.

Lonely engine waiting around for the damn rust to be fixed.

The fender needs a bit of work too.
Has a couple spots that need repair.
Will post pics of that later.

Today I sat down with a piece of donor rocker and it had a bad dent with a crease right on a bent edge. I said to myself, I will take that dent out...low and behold, my first time with a hammer and dolly, bam! Perfect! I am so proud of it. Sad thing is I took no photos of the before, I have photos of the after but would be hard to judge.
No matter though, it came out great.
Making progress..

Fixed the wiring harness I cut up a while back. Used those cool little heat srink tubes with the built in solder bead. Used a heat gun and it worked perfect. This is a good product in my book.
