Could probably make something like this fit, especially considering since you're cutting sheet metal. Spectre has a build-your-own intake kit at Autozone (or a similar chain) that might work. Tundra/Sequoia with the 2UZ has almost the same intake setup
But will it pass emissions?
I am thinking of just taking a heat gun to the stock air box and molding some dents in it nowYou CA people...
Spends months building a completely custom truck that only a few have ever done before. Still has to give a s*** about meeting original emissions requirements.![]()
What an original jokeBest way I've found to improve emissions on a 100 series, may come in handy for you:

Those are pitbull rockers in a 42 flavor. Details on axles in the hammersaurus lex thread. That's a Kia Sedona outside the garage. Unless you meant the 80 which is similarly builtCan you give us the basics on this build - like, how much lift and cutting it's taking to get 40s (?) under there, what axles you're running and WTF is parked just outside the garage?!
That is your problem lol, I did not see you were posting from CA. Good luck with that! check junkyards to see if you can find a Sequoia or Tundra with an aftermarket intake you can use, there might be a CARB sticker (or whatever) with it that will allow you to pass. But will it pass emissions?
how about just cutting it right after the MAF and then stuffing some socks in the tubezip-tie the filter to the top of the box.... or cut just below the seam and run it
