Getting there. Trusses should go up this coming Saturday and then I should be on the downhill stretch to being in the dry.

I remember back when 1) I was little enough to be able to ride my bike inside my grandparents' garage in the winter and 2) their garage wasn't so cluttered up that you had room to ride.

Reason y'all haven't seen me posting anymore about my 60s is I've got my truck in the shop taking up all of the space right now. I bought a '90 K3500 SRW 454 almost two years ago that was too cheap to pass up. My OCD kicks in and I can't leave well enough alone on my stuff, so I was going to fix all of the rust on it and rebuild the engine, but I manage a junkyard and we got a '92 GMC K2500 in that is rust free and a '92 ton truck in with a serviceable 454 and NV4500. So, now I'm in the middle of swapping parts from three different trucks into a fourth to have it setup the way I want it. I'm hoping to have it finished soon and to be able to start on one of my 60s immediately thereafter.

@Ridge Runner so you manage a boneyard.... ever see any early 80s Fords come across the scales? I need a few interior bits and a stock shifter for a T18 4spd, just in case :smokin:

Very rarely. That stuff's hard to come by anymore, even in a county as obsolete as Scott. Out of about 1300 vehicles, I think we have one '80-'86 Ford full size truck left here.

Is it the shifter or shift knob? I'll try and look tomorrow.

The actual shifter that comes out of the top of the trans that the knob attaches too. The PO thought it wise to build a monstrosity out of round stock. It doesn't have that angle towards the driver to give a more natural feel. Even though it is only a 4 speed, it is a stretch to get to 3rd. and I physically have to lean a little to get into reverse.

I am finding parts hard to come by as well. I pulled the kicker panels when I was cleaning the interior and swapping the seats and I threw them in the back, and they have been there ever since. I didn't think it'd be too hard to find replacements... I was wrong and jeezzz places like LMC are VERY proud of their replacements.

Jynx make me a list of what you need and if I don't have it I'll run across the road and try and find it.

No, unfortunately we didn't have it.

Jason, going to Pull -a-Part tomorrow and will get that part for you. PM me your address and I will ship it to you

@jason in tn main thing I'd like to have is a stock shifter lever for a t-18 4spd. Only thing is I don't know what the finger length is on my particular model (apparently there are 2) other than that kick panels and sill plate trim is about all I really need. If I'da been smart I would have took better care of the ones that came out, but I was just trying to get that seat swapped and get that nasty soppy carpet and pad out that day. Oh a stock instrument cluster would be sweet too. I need to surf ebay and see what kinda bits I can find.

I don't recall any 4 speed trucks in the yard but I will check. The other stuff I can get you out of the truck I got the seat out of. I will be home tomorrow and plan to run over there anyway, I will grab the interior stuffs for sure.

Jason, I will be going to pull-a-part tomorrow and will get that part for you. PM me your address and I will ship it to ypu

My current project. The truck inside is the one I'm rebuilding. It will get repainted eventually (I'm thinking dark green), but for now I just want it to run well. The guy who dropped it off for me had an unsecured bucket of roofing tar in the bed of his rollback. You can see part of the aftermath on the right fender.

I've had my car trailer for several years and have done little but use it, needless to say it has been needing some maintenance so I spent the weekend working on it, I pulled the floor and gave it a much needed paint job, I replaced all the lights with LED versions " with rewards points I was only out $11 for all of them", pulled the hubs on the front axle and repacked the bearings, and got new brake kits ordered. Shouldn't take to much to button it up and have it ready for the road.

What you doing with the other goal?

The portable goal was given to us. We're paying it forward and giving it away. I have a home lined up for it already. But should it fall through, you can be next in line.
