In the Mecum auction this weekend in Houston there is an "original and rare 62 that comes with a 5-speed and a 60 front"....

Was there ever such a thing...?

Beautiful rig. I'm very curious about its configuration, and sourcing of parts.

I've never heard of such a beast from the factory, but a converting a 62 to a 60 front and 5 speed is not that uncommon...

Yeah this is odd..

It’s claiming to be an ‘86 with EFI and a legit vin#... “ultra rare in specific countries”

I would not call that 'restored'. Itt's a resto-mod at best.

Yea that is completely legitimate. Non-USA 62’s started in 84(i think? I forget from memory). 3F carburetor, manual and round lamps.

Looks like a stock ECE spec '85-87 FJ62.
