Can we order parts from Cruiserdan's coworkers if we mention ih8mud or is it only through him? I need to get some parts but he is apparently on a well deserved vacation.

Yep, I get the discount every time I walk up to the counter. Tom and Bruce will be glad to help you. Dan? I hardly ever see his hinny, and when I do it's a blur crossing the shop.

That depends on what "list" price is. My dealer seems to tack on a 25% premium, so by the time Dan's discount kicks in, it seems I'm getting a 30%-40% discount. :D

But I hear Dan's coworkers are all gay and that Dan actually had to take some workplace-stress-related time off due to all the "moves" they were tyring to put on him in the stockroom. :flipoff2: NTTIAWWT! :D

Do the math. If a part costs $100, my dealer charges $125. If Dan offers 15% off the true price of $100, then that means he charges $85. The difference between $125 and $85 is $40, which comes out to something like a 32% discount off what my dealer charges. So, yeah, compared to my dealer, Dan is giving me a 30% - 40% discount. :D Add to that the fact that my dealer will only accept orders IN PERSON!!! (No credit card orders over the phone.) That means I have to drive there once to place the order, and drive back again to pick it up.

Good points. I recently got a quote from my dealer for a diff. gasket I got from Dan, for $4, damm stealership was charging $16, not including tax. Even if I have to pay shipping for one gasket I'm still coming out ahead.

The official MUD discount is 25% off of the real list price (on most items, excluding TRD parts, printed materials, and large items like trannies). Many dealers charge over list, which is only a suggestion. I know my dealer in Palm Springs charged 10% over.

Yep, local dealer has their 'list' price and then a 'cash discount'...and the nice part is their 'cash discount' was STILL more than Dan's list price..
