Opinion: Trek 4500 (1 Viewer)

I work at a somewhat prestigious University in Connecticut. I've convinced management to buy a few mountain bikes for commuting around campus. My lbs is recommending the Trek 4500.

We'd throw some street tires on it of course. Any opinions?
