Thanks guys, it's a ton of work but well worth it for the look I'm after. I still have a little work to do at the ends of the body line. My air file was acting up at the end of the day and I just had zero desire to mess with it. I am thinking the inner fender modification will allow at least an inch more tire, maybe 1.5" if I am really lucky.

Just updated my daily driver.

Nice job, that looks factory. Oem+ type stuff.
Thanks, it kinda is factory. That is a front fender cut from the same model car grafted in. The front of the body line needed some bead roller work to get it deep enough to match the rear quarter body line.

Brought home another toy Saturday from NJ. It's a 2002 BMW 325i touring. RWD, 5MT, Oxford Green over natural brown. This will be a new daily option for me as well as maybe a track-able car. It needs some love aesthetically but mechanically is solid!

Have had a Land Cruiser in our driveway since 1999 and for many extended periods had two or more but right now we are Cruiserless! Feels weird and I've told the wifey that we will have another by the end of this year! In the meantime we are first time BMW owners with this baby! 2013 335is, bought it from a German National who was returning home after being here 3 years with BOSCH! As expected, he was pretty anal about everything mechanical. Had the BMW fanatic co-worker drive it after bringing it home from Charleston and before the drive was done he asked if he could have first dibs on buying it!

Looks nice! I have a soft spot for the e9x chassis. I've had a couple over the years and they were great cars!

any under the skin work by the PO?
Miles?
PCV and piston rings good?
176k miles. It's had a very long list of maintenance done in the last few years but nothing major except the 5-spd swap since it was originally an auto. It does still have the 3.46 rear end which makes the revs pretty high on the highway but that's a problem for a later time.

The PO did a head job and HG on it a couple years ago and has done a few track days with it since and during my test drive, it seems solid. My goal is to swap the entire drivetrain out for either a ZHP M54B30/6spd swap or a S54/6spd swap but I'm needing to dig into it further before I decide which to go with. I had a ZHP years ago and really liked that motor. I'll be buying a full donor car for whichever swap I do but that likely won't happen this year as I really don't have time currently to take on that kind of project right now with our infant.

I did stumble across this earlier today which is the same wagon when it was for sale ~3 years ago. 2002 BMW 325i Touring for Sale | Built for Backroads - https://www.builtforbackroads.com/listing/2002-bmw-325i-touring

Lovely color combo, Chris. If/when you’ve had your BMW fill, let me know as I’ll be glad to be the next caretaker ;)

Been playing with other German brands like several others.

A friend asked me today "Why do you hoard sensible cars?" (there's a GX460 I'll probably own very soon, too). He seems to have missed the memo that I've sold 3 vehicles in the last 2 years without buying more. I could only respond with a mention of my practicality and my fear of modern technology. I picked this up yesterday from a family member of somebody here. 2010 Lexus IS350C. 179k miles. Full service history since new, all at the dealer. 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds. It almost way too modern for me. 🛺 Ugly, but comfortable. I've heard it'll hit at least 105 on a local drag strip road.

the 313 design wheels are one of the best in my eyes. I have them on my dd, a '06 330i 6mt sport. Fun cars and even more fun with boost. I would highly suggest looking into getting a crank pulley belt guard. If the serpentine belt lets go, it will get sucked into the crankcase. Happens to all of them n51, n52, n54, and yours with the n55.

FCP Euro is you place for parts as they come with lifetime guarantee even if it wears out like suspension bushings. Orders usually show up in about 2-3 days from their shop in CT.

The Style 313 are a good looking wheel. Too expensive back when I owned my first 335 in college so I went for some rep 359 wheels instead.

definitely another great option. Some how i managed to snag mine for $600 with ok tires. there was a few slight defects in the rims but im also not a wheel whore so i was cool with it.

If you guys are looking for used BMWs they are all over the Greenville, Spartanburg, Henderson counties and surrounding areas. I recall when I moved to Hendersonville NC. One of the first things I noticed was that there was a BMW around every corner. Guy from across the street worked at BMW and had a 6 month old sedan the company leased them on the cheap. He told me thousands of them go to lease in the area annually. Always cars coming off lease in the area.
