What's the best way to repair a hole (.5") in the window mesh of a tent? The $59 clearance 180 South 2-person we just bought came in with a tear. They're sold out, so exchanging isn't an option. It looks to be a quality tent, other than that...and the inside of the rainfly that feels like a wet stamp. Sarah was actually really excited that I secretly bought a tent that wasn't 8-person NOR a piece of crap. Says the stakes alone are worth $50. Wish I'd bought two of them now.

Sorry yours had a hole. No idea about repair. I would email them and see if they have any you can swap out with....surely they kept a few in case of issues. Or they might refund some $$$.

I am with you on the rain fly....very weird feeling. What are you going to spray on that?

Hilarious about the tent stakes....I ran into the kitchen and showed my wife the stakes and she look at me like I was a maniac. Easily worth the price of admission.

I have a question about the 4wd on the 80s....when I put it in 4wd lo it engages fine and when I take it out of 4wd lo it goes back ok but the ABS light and Diff light stay on for about 30-45 seconds. Is that normal? Everything feels fine as far as the drive etc.

Well, to begin, it is always in "4wd" but low range, unless you have done a 7 pin mod, locks the center diff.

The lights should go out just as soon as the driveline is no longer under stress and is then allowed to unlock. If you're on hard top things can bind up quite a bit but on soft surface should not be too bound up as long as you're not turning.

If the light is staying on even when the driveline is not bound up then, yes, it is sticking, and you should "exercise" it some more to loosen things up.

Gotcha. I have not done the 7 pin yet but plan to do so whenever I get a CDL switch.

So should I keep it in neutral until the lights go out or just put it back in Hi and start driving until they go out?

Contemplating moving this choice item of 80's childhood awesomeness over to For Sale.

That's too funny!! Here's a picture from last year of my oldest son wearing my old Members Only jacket.

Seriously? You still have a jacket from roughly 1985 for a 5yr old? Save your old socks and underwear, too? Not that I don't think that's cool. I'll steal my dad's next time I'm up there, but it's gray. Won't match the kid. He somehow found and bought one from a store after 2000.

Haha seriously!! My mom and my grandmother saved a ridiculous amount of my stuff as a kid. I always took care of my stuff so most of it made it through unscathed. Believe it or not as I'm typing this I'm looking at a pair of GI Joe house shoes that were mine also. My son wears them all the time.

Drive it. If the center different is being stubborn it may require a little forward and reverse.

Is the center different close to the center differential?

Hmmm. Appears auto-correct didn't like "diff" being left as is. Believe I'll leave it there. :)

Go give it a try with the same car and let me know how well you do.

True but regardless....
