Precisely why I suggested a pitch gauge and a caliper

I remember seeing that when he was at 950K.... what kind of job does he do having to drive that much... that is wild. I can see a long haul truck driver but long haul tundra driver??

The original article said it was a V8 but now I see it is the V6 truck. And now toyota has given him a new truck.... reminds me of that "Married with Children" episode

So I woke up at 3:30am the other night to the sound of squeaky toys in my back yard. Lots of them. The squeaks were interspersed with the unmistakable sounds of animals trying to kill each other. During this, I heard a soft thud. In the morning, we found a 20' long maple branch on the ground. It had ripped off the tree about 50'+ up right at the truck. Probably 4" diameter there. All the leaves were green and healthy. I'm guessing that was the thud. It tore right through a small Japanese maple and ripped off 2/3 of it. No dead animals on the ground and no blood trails that I could find. The broken branch was the lowest on the tree and didn't overhang any other trees except the 4' Jap Maple.

What the hell kind of animal squeaks like that? I can't think of anything around here that would weigh enough to break that healthy branch even if there were 4-5 of them. No bears around here.

el Chupacabra!!!

from the Wikipedias:
"Physical descriptions of the creature vary. It is purportedly a heavy creature, the size of a small bear, with a row of spines reaching from the neck to the base of the tail."

Is there a local source for grade 8 bolts? I'm doing a seatbelt install and need a few slightly longer bolts to attach it to my rollbar...

Ace / Town and Country! Fastenal is great, but I've had to buy large quantities before there.

Thanks man - I had heard of the store, but never been. I've generally ordered online anything I couldnt' find at Ace or HD

Edit: Ramon, you say they have grade 8 at Ace?

Close to you is also tractor supply. They have them. Suggest using fine thread.

EDIT: a little farther to drive but farmers hardware in Kernersville (out highway 150) has a very nice bolt collection. In downtown gso there is automotive fasteners .... They have f'ing everything .... My last couple trips to fastenal left me disappointed.

Tractor Supply is a pretty good deal, sold by the pound rather than piece. If you are going metric, which I suggest as you'll keep tooling the same, 10.9 is the rough equivalent to grade 8

Sold by the pound until you get into metric or fine thread .... then they have those ridiculous little bags with 2 bolts in them for $x.xx a piece.

Stan raises a good point though, James ..... if you're okay with SAE course thread grade 8 you can purchase by the pound for less $.

I never looked at metric hardware at TS. Pretty much just SAE. I just figured they sold metric the same way.
