Only one wiper speed on a 67' FJ40? (1 Viewer)

Are the wipers on a 67' FJ40 only one speed? I have an aftermarket switch the PO installed (pull out switch) and there is only one speed. I'm pretty sure this isn't the original wiper switch. Anyhow, I noticed on the motors themselves, there are three wire-hook ups. Only two were used. Before I go out and buy a two position switch, I thought I would ask. I did a search and saw Hella offers a intermintent siwitch kit I may purchase, anyone have any experience with these?

Do you have the two manually-operated wiper motors on your '67 windshield? Mine is off of '64, and I only have single speed. The current ones look like they may be NOS replacements for a Willys Jeep or something.

Slow is right, but they have enough torque to wipe off quicksand.

Yeah, I have the two motors on top that are independent. Well, looks like I'll just rain-x the hell out of the windshield and maybe I'll buy one of those hella kits in the future.

Well, I have "holes" for plumbing, but unfortunately the defrost tubes are MIA. The PO had some 1 1/2" diameter heater flex tubing inthere, but it looked liked crap, didn't work very well either......

yeah...1 speed lol, throw on some rain-x thats what I'm going to do. I need to figure out hoses for my defrost as well.

I was able to get the steel components for the defrost plumbing from SOR's used parts box. Found the rubber connectors on EBay. Then, I used hardware store vacuum tubing to connect. The defrost is anemic but better than nothing on that style.

Do the 71's have only one speed also? I have the stock wiper knob controlling it, but it feels like when I pull the knob out, it clicks into a position halfway then turns on wipers when it is fully pulled out.

My '71 (9/70 mfg) has 2 speed. Half way out and all the way out...
