On Internet I have found remarks on OME progressive springs. Are there any available for Toyota KZJ 70?
I want to have 2" lift with some extra weight 100kg at front (winch+bull bar) and 2..3 persons at the rear but only from time to time.
I use the car as DD 90% and 10% trails off-road - I am not really into mud bathing so far ;)
When I talk to OME distributors they do not know these progressive springs. Do they exist?
Or maybe it would be better to switch to something else?
Advice/remarks welcome

I believe Dobinsons Springs have something like that.Germany might be your closest dealer

roscoFJ73:
checked Dobinsosn and they do have some progressive coils but not for KZJ
There is a Dutch company that has such springs - I will check with them and report. There is a KZJ owner in GB with some 80000miles on them without any complain.

Hi All:

I'd go with the OME medium-load springs and firm-valved shocks on the front of the truck, and the OME light-load springs in the rear along with either soft or firm-valved shocks.

Regards,

Alan

yes, this looks like an really interesting option :)
simple solution to simple problem.
The best idea would be then the shock with some controllable characteristics to be able to modify the valve as needed - any suggestions? I checked that KONI Heavy Track is not available for 2" lift...

Are they different to LJ/RJ70 ?

roscoFJ73:
at leat that's what Dobinsons is giving out in their catalogue ;)
in reality KZJ has bigger 3.0 engine (might be more heavy) than LJ 2.4
For both machines there are no progressive springs in both catalogues i have located on Internet.
Thre are some variable rate for 80/100 but not for 70 (:

You must have missed it. Its on page 101 of the Toyota catalogue;)
Its in the smaller print and is for 94-

I think they only had 2 types of coil springs from 84-96.
The later type were 60mm longer in the rear??.

Hi All:

I would personally go with the OME Nitrocharger firm-valved shocks both front and rear - the firmer valving helps control body control.

One could of course use an adjustable-valved shock such as the Rancho 9000, which may be a better choice; I personally have little experience with this option so cannot comment.

Good luck!

Alan
