I bet he has a 2nd set of wheels for that or he has wasted his money.
He wont be on the road much longer anyway,NSW are bringing in the 50mm rule inc tyres

I have another question for you guys, do you change the panhard rod when you lift your 70s (with front coils) or is that only required for big lifts? people around here don't give it a second thought, but I would like to know what you people in OZland do.

Some do but you need a hefty lift and be using the articulation to make it worth it. I guess it more for the amatuer comp guys.

Well, It's done! I went for OME heavy duty leafs and shocks and KS heavy duty springs, here are some pictures during the installation, Ill take some better ones of the finished product tomorow with a decent camera:

Spring comparison:

I was amazed at how easy it was to change the front shocks and springs, he just jacked up the 71 from the chassis and the springs came right out.

Overall I'd say I got a 4" lift all around, but it will be a bit lower once it settles, I also have to fit my front ARB bumper which will lower the front some more. The ride is much nicer, going over bumps is no longer a painfull experience but it does feel a tad more unstable, probably because of the height.
