Just got offered an FJ45 LV 1962 Vin: FJ104xx, don't know what to do yet, but would that be the oldest?

Thanks,

it's close !

That is very early, but there is a 61 on the lv registry list( 45 section). I would jump on that!!

This is the one of the FJ45 Register List, 1961

It's very tempting, it seems that the earlier models had an extra line above the rear wheel well and no small build out on the rear fender, is that correct?

the 1962 one that's for sale

It may actually be a 1961 titles as a 1962. Is there a 1 or a 2 as the first letter of the VIN? Up until 1964, the first character of the vin was a number corresponding with the build year.

It's a 1

Was the other earlier LV in the US or somewhere else? Toyota only imported them 63-67 but obviously the product of the the FJ45 V started before that.

Yes, this started in 1960 with the FJ35V and it appears that it ran through '62. The '63s had the flared rear door and wheel wells. The flare stopped that upper rib on the rear quarter panel behind the wheel well.

Nice early 45 btw, great find.
