My front axle on my 1962 fj40 leaks oil, I do not want to deal with the inner bushing so have acquired 1977 axles.

I need to pull the pinion flanges off to use on the 77 axles, will pull the dualmatic hubs, and probably pull the 9mm line fittings I can. Anything else before I call a scrap guy to take them? Will the brake shoes and drums work on the rear of the 77?

I do not want to take the time and mess to pull anything major off them like the axle shafts.

Mike the FJ25 thirds ended with 25s. I have a few sets (4) of pre 63 axles and they are all shorter style.

Measured mine and they are the shorter style within an inch or so of the 77 3rd members, but I did not climb all the way under to measure them.
