See Toyotasofwar on Instagram. A lot of our special forces use them in different parts of the world. My wife’s cousin is an Army green beret and they use an armored Toyota Hilux when deployed. Several articles on google search as well.
There have been a couple of threads on the same topic here over the past few years. One of them has photos of the trucks in a parking lot after being armored and modified.
I am sure there are multiple facilities in the U.S. that install the armor but at least one is in Alabama.
70 Series Sighting
Ran across 3 brand new 70 series on the West side of Columbus today. Still had the plastic on the seats. Fully equipped with a Safari Snorkel and ARB roof rack. BFG still had the nubs on. Had to stop and gets some pics.

Grabbed these photos this morning on the drive in to work. A whole pile of new 70 series pickups at a company in Auburn, AL that reworks these for overseas duties.
