Just was my cruiser and still see imperfections on my windsheild and it is annoying as hell. Im sure you other cruiser owners have seen or experienced this. Is clay OK and safe to remove the dirt or should I use a NON-Abrasive cleanser? Which one is safer/better? Thanks

Toothpaste works well. I have even been told by jewelers that they use it on certain stones.

Toothpaste?? Interesting. Never thought of using it. I guess u apply it using a rag or towel

It's a polish, apply with clean damp cloth and buff out. Works on lexan too.

confused. Toothpaste we use to brush our teeth with or a product called "toothpaste" Thanks.

Toothpaste you use to brush your teeth with. Up here in Maine we had to find some use for it. :)

Ok thanks. Just thought there was a product called "toothpaste" that specializes in removing dirt, etc... Thanks will try it now.

I believe the opaque paste works better than the "gel." But a better product that's also pretty cheap is Bon-Ami.

And your widshield will be minty clean and no cavities.

There are glass polishing kits too.

If toothpaste works on glass, maybe this stuff works on teeth :grinpimp:

0000 steel wool works great and will not scratch the glass.

I use a D/A sander with a foam pad and Meguiars paint cleaner ( not sure which one I have like 5) to buff out the windows. Works especially good for hard to get off water spots. :D

Yes, I do it as part of the process of detailing the rig, just remember to use the lubricant the clay comes with, OR use an empty squirt bottle, fill it with water and about a teaspoon of dawn, shake er up and use that as lube. As someone mentioned, it wont work at all with defects but as the title to the thread asked, it will remove fine particles from the glass. Ohh, eastwood makes a great kit to buff glass. HTH
