Which one should i get between these two - the lease $$ is pretty much the same. I have decided to stick with a car instead of a truck/SUV.

    1. Saab 9 3 - Arc - 220 HP
    pros
more leg room than the Sabaru - back seat only
    better MPG
    holds resale value
    back seats fold down
better warranty - bumper to bumper only
    more trunk space - surprisingly

    2. Sabaru Legacy GT - 250 HP
    pros
    it is fast...real fast
    a bit longer
    AWD
    hold good resale (up north)
    better drivetrain warranty
    more leg room up front
    6 disc changer - standard

I had a Saab - and have sob stories...

I had two Subaru Wagons - they kept going and going....250,000 + on each -

    Just my experience!

    Ho-Humm...

I like them both. Don't think you can go wrong with either. Didn't know Subaru made a "Suub'd" up Altima.....hehe.....

Buddy has the new 2.5 T wagon. I was really impressed with the interior, handeling, roadnoise & most importantly speed. It flys up the mountains here! Literely leaves my R/T in the freaking dust.
He says he drove through 2 foot drifts this last winter with 0 problems (though that isnt really an issue in Hotlanta).
Neighbor has the GT in grey, looks like a freking sports car parked next to my Accord.

Go SUBIE! They finally arent gay looking. :D

Who cares, when you try to sell it you’ll get 1/2 of what you’d get for the Japanese’s counterpart.

Can you tell I hate Saabs?

We did a poll just in our club and found that like 75% of us had owned a Suby at one point. There's good karma between Suby's and Cruisers.

Saabs suck. Real POS. The only good one is a 9-2, because it's a Subaru WRX wagon.

Why don't you just fly all of us up to Atlanta when you get there, and we'll take shifts holding your hand while you decide on what car to drive. :flipoff2:

Saab is owned by GM, so why wouldn't they?

Noah, I've always heard horror stories about Saab's and their reliability. I've also always heard great things about Suby's power/handling and reliability.

All that aside, I'd probably look at the Acura TL. :D

ok, ok...looks like the subby it is...

I am just a bit apprehensive about getting another sub, after the disaster of a sub i have now.
new tranny at 5k miles, smoke from the dash, A/C didn’t work at first, belts squealing like a stuck pig, brakes failed...twice, other than that i was real happy with the car - It was a 2003 Subaru Outback LL Bean..

I'm pretty sure the Saab is a rebadged Subaru, and the GM discount ends Monday.

edit, just saw McNiels post about the 9-2's being the Subaru's

The Saab is front wheel drive and 220 bhp is too much for it = there are handling problems. Go for the Subaru.

    i.e. Torque oversteer

I am thinking the Subaru would kill it off the line...
