Oil temp on transfer/gear (1 Viewer)

Hello folks

Rebuilding my H55F and transfer for my HJ61 project at the moment. Thinking about putting temp sensors on both boxes. Anybody done that? Where is the best place to put them on the two boxes?

Hi dude .. I have a 2H engine with H55F split case with marks gears, and really, the temp in the tranny and t-case isn't a issue in your TLC to put a TMP sensor .. trust me ..

OK. Did not think it would be a must. Guess I will just go for synth oil afther rebuild. Supposed to take care of heat better than regular gearoil.

I thought that synth oil after your rebuild is good, and for sure better properties, and performance than mineral oil.

But, some times, maybe is necesary ( in my case ) perform frecunetly oil changes to my diff and tranny, less than 2000 miles and for this reazon synth oil dosen't matter to me.
