Does any one know the orientation of this part? Both mine were floating in my housing. It sits right behind the oil seal in the end of the axle housing you can see it if you look into the axle when doing kingpin bearings and such. I found some pics online that make me believe the wide end of the oval is oriented downward? Maybe this is the "guide" part of the piece. I already have both knuckle balls removed from the axle housing so instalation will be a breeze.

Well I put them in that oriantation and it's the correct way. I was doing my cut and turn and decided to just pull them completely out to place these back in. Decided to weld them so I they dont pop off again. Maybe some day this will help some one else. Btw here is no other way to re-install these that I know of. I'd say just buy upgraded inner seals to help if your not doing C&T already. probably never have a problem.
