Over the past 3-4 months, I have had trouble with starting my FJ62, cold or hot. It turns over strong, however, it has gone from starting on the first or second rotation, to turning over 5-6 times, not starting, and then 2-3 times on the second try and firing right up. I can drive somewhere, park for 5 mins or less, come out, same drill. It can be dead cold from sitting overnight, same thing. It can also be a couple of hours...

Someone mentioned something here or on FB about an 'oil sludge valve' possibly being the culprit for a similar problems someone else posted about. I can't find that post now. Any one familiar with this, or does it go by another name?

I've thought about the cold start injectors, but even when the engine is 'hot', it happens, so if I understand the purpose of those, a hot start wouldnt also be impacted, or am I wrong on that point?
