Don't know if this is new or has been happening all along. My 62 uses hardly any oil, and the oil pressure gauge is always right at the halfway point. The other day I was running late and in a hurry so I decided to see what he really had. After some unbelievably fast moments sigh...... well he was trying, I noticed the gauge had dropped down to the quarter point. Automatically I freaked thinking I had lost the galley plug or something else horrible had happened. Then as I was coasting it rose back to halfway. Is this normal cause now I watch it all the time and sometimes it drops to that quarter point but then it always rises back to half. My oil is reading perfect so hopefully it's normal.
