hi there, im a new with my 1991 fj80 and my question is, What should the oil pressure gauge be at when driving the truck? there are four bars starting from the low to the High. Mine just stays on the second bar, 2nd line above the Low meter. Is that normal? or should it be above the 3rd line....or higher???

that's about normal for me. Mine stays at second bar.

According to the owners manual we're within normal range.

Search grasshopper, search....

There is not a plain gauge .. I thought the factory oil press gauge isn't accurate. So if you are really worried about that, I recomended put a mechanical gauge an see what you get.

Thats about where mine is and the pressure is about 65 psi driving and 18 ideling in gear.

Depends on what type of oil you run. Dino oil about halfway while driving, oh and also read the newbie section this has been covered a few times.

Howdy, my 91' usually sits at the second bar from bottom or just a nick above as now just got an oil change @ 8.25 qts.(dino) and rarely fluctuates.
Later, Cliff
