Its alive !!!!!!!!!!!! installed the two batteries ran all the battery cables, bled the fuel line and after the second crank.....Prrrrrrrrrr :D the sound of a diesel in my FJ

I purchased a 1986 HJ-60 at the end of the summer that lets say there was mor rust than cruiser........
I had a 1985 FJ-60 with a great body, that needed at least the top end rebuilt , a set of ring and who know what else once I had her open.

Soooo to make a long story short...The FJ has a 2H and H55f in her now and she seems pretty happy with her new go-go train :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

awesome!! show some pics and wrtie up... love to see the truck.

if my body goes before the engine I plan to do the same. Buy a clean truck and swap over the powertrain.

rock on. I'm glad you got all of the kinks worked out, maybe this will inspire others to try it as well. I'm not sure if i missed a build-up thread but did you go 12, 24, or 12/24 volt?

I went 24v....after doing alot of thinking back and forth....then decided that the HJ/24v harness was savable and to save problems down the road....swap harnesses...........not easy....but do-able.....just have to remember you have to swap every motor, relay, fan motors, wiper motors everthing..and there os alot

Hey In2, I too have an HJ60. 1987 with a 1995 HZ in her and H55. When I get her back from the frame off we should have a photo shoot with our two rigs.

TB, when is it going to be done? Been out longer than mine I think... Must be a very nice frame off.

Wish you post some of Radds pics... Love to see it. Or was it posted on the 60 section?

BB, should be done soon. Rob is doing his usual kick ass work. I cant wait to get her back. Cant wait to drive her again.
