Hey peeps,

So I have these roof runners which I was originally planning to remove to add something “mainstream” however during one of my daily day dreams I thought that the actual foot print of the basis isn’t soo bad, so why replace?

if I replaced the rubber footings, maybe make it ever so slightly bigger, this would disperse the weight more around the roof.
Question is, are these roof capable like you see in many modern cars?

That’s not a factory rack. Someone has added that. It’s not in the location for handling any sort of load - you can already see where it distorts the roof.

I think the bars you have mounted to the gutter are your best bet.

People who drill holes in the roof should be shot when you have a perfectly good strong point at the roof seam!
