I'm in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area and am looking for a reasonably priced mechanic for PM before we take off to Utah. I had my LX down at LCR4WD a couple weeks ago where Steve ran some fluid tests. The trans fluid is high in aluminum (3 PPM) and extremely high in silicon (53 PPM). I'm at about 87k and figure that the coolant system could use a flush as well. I'd go back to Steve to have him do this but his shop's a ways away and he's probably got more fun going on than swapping out fluids (I lack the garage space and time to do it myself).

Dealer wants $250, Valvoline Instant Oil wants $150. There's another mom and pop place down the block that's cheaper but they screwed my brother over in a repair not too long ago.
Any suggestions are appreciated (I anticipate a flame or two for mentioning the instant oil change place touching my truck)
