OEM tranny hump -> Aqulau tub? (1 Viewer)

Has anyone gone to the trouble to adapt an OEM tranny hump (1978) into an Aqualu aluminum tub? I really don't like the aluminum one - I'd like a more stock look. Thoughts? Pictures if you have done it?

I have heard of it done... not seen it either... they are not the same size cut outs that is for sure....

Time for me to actually start on this project and I thought I'd revive this thread in hopes of finding someone that has skinned this cat already - so to speak.

Well I cut the "bump" out of the stock hump today and started to weld in a piece to make the bottom flange flat with the Aqualu floor. It is pretty rough looking so far but it'll be good when I get done - pics soon.

With the stock hump, it'll look so much more stock.
