I currently have about 10k miles on ORM fro t and rear suspension. I’m looking at options at upgrading the suspension and one of the things i thought about after reading another post was just changing out my Springs to heavier duty ones. I have an ARB Sahara bar no hoop and pull a travel trailer. Eventually I’ll add drawers and roof rack. Has anybody changed just the coils and kept the OEM shocks.

there is so much information out there and on MUD that it
gets overwhelming reading everything. One minute I’m going with Dobinson and the next it’s Tough Dog or OME. So why not add a little more confusion.

Most reports indicate that the OEM shocks can be underdamped depending on load. Particularly the rears. That's when paired with stock low spring rate springs. Paired with higher rate springs would really not be recommended.

Shocks and springs work as a system and really should be purchased as a tuned set.
