Anybody know the history of these hubs? I have a set on my 55 I was wondering if they were toyota or someone else.

It would be nice if he said what spline or year they're supposed to fit. They look like pure gold to me! :D

Did it say anything in the add about the "fishing string" modification?

The only place that I have seen these lock outs were on drum brake axles, the knobs were wound up tight with fishing line, and were inoperative.

Novelty at best.

Yeah they are definetly course spline hubs. They came stock on my 55 with drum brakes. Not that I will ever take the 55 offroad to really find out if they can take some abuse. It would be nice to know the history of them.

pretty sure those are OEM locking hubs from a 75-ish vintage fj55, seen em before and prolly have some info on them someplace

I have a pair of those I took of a 67 with the stock drum, oh fj40.

Anyone need a pair, before they go to ebay?

Oh yeah, I'm into the unusual. PM a price and your info. Are they gold plated like the Ebay ones? :grinpimp:
