OEM Jack - not tall enough !!

The angle of my LCAs and the round edge on the top of the jack would prevent this working in my case, though as mentioned I’m not at stock ride height.

Either way as long as it can get the tire in the air, for the front is a MUCH safer way to go, since it isn’t lifting a moving part of the suspension.
I'm not stock height either and still works for me. I get under the LCA closest to the tire. That's the only spot I've found that feels safe enough for me.

So this evening in my nice flat driveway I jacked the rig up. I got the wheel 1.5 - 2" off the ground. Now I would like to think that I am not a complete idiot and can use a jack. The smaller riser went up further than yesterday probably by a good inch. I have no idea why yesterday it would not go further. I will blame it on the cold and the jack having never been used. Regardless the jack is pretty extended when in use, as such I can see that when truly out in the field it can come up short. Now to find what the tire guys discovered that took out my tire.

Good to know. My first attempt when putting on snows, using the frame spot in the manual also must not have had the jack extended fully though sure thought it was. Was really confused by that. I had to use LCA too.

Maybe a problem with our jacks.
