OEM Electric Lockers need to be in 4wd? (1 Viewer)

I'm new to electric lockers.

In a part-time 4wd HZJ75 do I need to be in 4wd for the lockers to be powered? I'm hearing a motor cycle when I've switched on both lockers via the switch and THEN drop into 4wd. Is this normal or did the PO make some "adjustments"?

I have both front and rear lockers, and they will not do anything unless I put it into 4wd. So this seems like normal behavior...

I'm used to Arbs that are not controlled by the 4wd system. I even wired my Arbs so I can engage front locker without the rear.
I like the added control.

You can then run the rear locker as needed.
