Hey guys, my radaitor bit the dust. Tried to solder it and it did not work and is beyond repair now, so i need a good aftermarket one and i see alot of them online say they dont have the tranny cooler but the picture shows it does. Does anyone know if that is just a mistake on their part and it will fit? Thanks if you guys can help me. God bless

I have had no problems with CSF or performance. Mike

Just bought a CSF from Radiatorbarn.com this week. $245 no tax and no shipping charges.. lifetime warranty.

thanx fellas, i saw some guys got a rad from the rad barn and they were around $200. i guess the prices went up. well i will probably go towards the Barn. thanks for all the input guys. God Bless -Cody

hey chitown40, did you get that price for a fj62 on their website? it shows me $280

Order the one for a 86 or 87 FJ60. It is a 2708 CSF model. The one for the FJ62 is incorrect. If you measure yours it should be about 15" or so. Much smaller than the dimensions of the one listed for the FJ62. If you order the FJ60 one, you'll see it has the ports for a tranny cooler and the sizes will match up to your old one.

thanx alot chitown40! never would have known to do that. i appreciate that info. God Bless- Cody

One more note, if you are replacing a stock radiator, you might have to modify the bottom of the fan shroud. The outlet on the bottom of the radiator is about 1" further inward than the stock one so the notch on bottom of the shroud for the lower house doesn't line up. Quick work with an angle grinder to lengthen the groove and you're back in business.

thanx again for the unforseen stuff. by the way, is the shrou all that necessary? thanx guys and God Bless- Cody

Autozone carries a nearly identical rad to radiatorbarn, and has a life time warranty. Mine has been working flawlessly.

how much did you pay miloslavich? and also dont you have a fj60, he 62 needs the tranny cooler line, does the fj60 have a cooler line as well? thanx - Cody

Yes, the shroud is necessary. It's a real simple modification. It took me all of 5 minutes to do, and that was with filing it down by hand after I flapper disc'd it.

alright then i will have to get another shroud b/c mine is trashed pretty much

just an update fella's, because i know we sometimes see threads without any conclusion. i installed my new csf radiator with the specs that chitown40 led me towards and it fits perfectly. it runs super cool now and managed to salvage my fan shroud and have about 3/4 of it on. no leaks and runs gr8 again. i did notice with my hood open that a little dust or smoke was coming from near my throttle body or air hose. it went away after a drive. i guess it was from sitting for 4 weeks :( thanks for everything fella's, God Bless- Cody
